Kyle McDonald, Erika Podest, Steven Chan, Narendra Das and Sarah Flores briefed NASA Administrator Charles Bolden on SMAP during his visit to JPL on Wednesday, October 28. The briefing was attended by JPL Director Charles Elachi and JPL Director for Earth Science and Technology Diane Evans. The unique capabilities of SMAP enabling characterization of surface controls on land-atmosphere carbon, water and energy exchange were discussed.
