SMAP Algorithms Workshop #2, Washington, DC
The 2nd SMAP Algorithms Workshop was held on March 5, 2010 at the same location as the MicroRad 2010 Symposium (March 1-4, 2010). This workshop followed the 1st SMAP Algorithms and Cal/Val Workshop held in Oxnard CA, June 9-11, 2009.
Venue
Hilton - Embassy Row
2015 Massachusetts Avenue NW
Washington, DC
Workshop Goals
The SMAP mission is currently in its formulation phase, during which algorithms for Level 1 through Level 4 (L1-L4) data products, and corresponding Algorithm Theoretical Basis Documents (ATBDs), are developed.
The goals of this workshop were to:
- Review progress on action items from the first algorithms workshop in Oxnard,
- Summarize progress on SMAP algorithms for L1 through L4 data products with special emphasis on L2/L3 products, including a review of the revised ATBDs,
- Seek input from workshop participants on the above items, and recent research on topics related to SMAP algorithms, through short presentations or posters, and
- Chart the course of the SMAP Algorithms Working Group for the coming year.
